A letter from the
Hidden Grounds team.

Hi neighbors,

A few good things are happening at Hidden Grounds. Here’s what you can try, learn, and look forward to.

Something sweet for your next visit. We’re bringing in vegan banana bread and chocolate chip cookies made with tahini (sesame paste). Ask what’s in the case at your café—the selection changes by location and day.

A little love for the decaf crowd. At our 400 Union Avenue (Brooklyn), 148 First Street (Jersey City), and 4C Easton Avenue (New Brunswick) cafés, we now grind decaf beans fresh for every order, using grinders just for decaf. Decaf drinkers, this one’s for you.

Learn to pour that little heart on your latte. Join Anand in Jersey City on Friday, October 23, from 7–9 p.m. for a hands-on latte-art class. You’ll learn to steam milk and pour a heart, with time to practice and get help along the way. No experience needed. Your first heart is allowed to look a little confused. Come learn with us.

Know someone opening a café? We’ve made it easier for café owners to try our coffee before choosing what to serve. Our tasting kits include Rosebud Espresso and Ethiopia Kembata Natural, with the option to add our roasting team’s current coffee pick. Try them on your own equipment, with your team. And a quick update on our own bakery. We’re still working toward a bigger kitchen for the things we bake ourselves. For now, those batches are limited and can sell out. If you’ve travelled for a favorite and missed it, we’re sorry. We want to make enough for more of you.
